Modular Robotics seeks a Head of Operations responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, sourcing and ordering materials, and planning inventory needs based on consumer trends.  This position will start with understanding and managing day-to-day warehouse operations, and then take over supply chain and purchasing responsibilities throughout Q1 2022. This position reports directly to the Business Strategy Group and VP of People Operations.

Living within driving distance is preferred, but not required. Salary for this position starts at $90,000.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Manage the physical operations team by overseeing and adding efficiencies to kitting, shipping, quality control, and inventory management. 
• Manage inventory, and review current inventory systems for ways to become more accurate. 
• Problem-solve independently and with a group to quickly address questions and plan for upcoming orders.
• Quickly understand the many components required in a complex, modular supply chain.
• Discover patterns in order to make data-driven inventory and manufacturing decisions. 
• Communicate clearly with the Sales team, Physical Operations team, and Business Strategy Group to coordinate inbound and outbound inventory effectively. 
• Communicate with our employee in China to collaborate on overseas parts procurement.
• Be the first point of contact with a variety of manufacturers located all over the world. 
• Keep track of purchase orders, and manage the manufacturing schedule to optimize inventory.

This applicant has:

• Experience being a leader and/or managing a team.
• Education or experience in supply chain or manufacturing.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Flexible approaches to problem solving and quantitative analytics. 
• Knowledge of injection molding, electronics, and mechanical manufacturing.
• A passion for solving problems and creating order in times of disorder. 
• A joyful approach to teamwork and communication. 
• An interest in regularly working at nontraditional hours to coordinate with international manufacturers.
