We get lots of teachers who write in asking us for help in finding funding opportunities for Cubelets.
Grant Support
And good news – we have the resources to help! Check out the Modular Robotics Grant Funding Page for grant suggestions, templates, and an option to schedule a consultation with us.
Another option is to think about running a fundraising campaign. We know of many teachers who have posted campaigns for their classes to add robots, create maker spaces, learn programming & pre-programming skills, or engage in integrated STEM learning. There are several sites that make this easy, including DigitalWish, GoFundMe, and DonorsChoose. Our favorites at Modular Robotics are Digital Wish and GoFundMe because you will receive the donations made whether or not you reach your funding goal. That said, we have seen many successfully funded campaigns through DonorsChoose since it is the most well-known of the three. If you choose to do a fundraising campaign, make sure you have a social media plan to help spread the word!
Cubelets Cycle
If Cubelets still seem out of your price range, check out the Cubelets Cycle Program. This program was designed specifically to make Cubelets more accessible for all kids in all schools. All you need to do is reserve your Education Pack (includes Bluetooth Hats), select the grade level of lesson plan book that you’d like to receive, and when you’d like it to arrive. Then you can use the Cubelets and lesson plan book for 30, 60, or 90 days, which is plenty of time to complete a full unit with Cubelets!
You might even choose to share the Cubelets Set with other teachers at your school or in your grade level. Battery Cubelets hold charge for 6-8 hours of continuous use; and one hour per class per day can quickly make the monthly cost well worth it.
Hopefully you’ve found some helpful resources here. If you have any questions or want to talk to us about what robots are the right fit for your classroom, program, or maker space, reach out to us at edinfo@modrobotics.com
